Our Authors
The Classics Reimagined Series has numerous contributing authors. Because books are updated and revised for a modern audience, much of the book is original but examined and reworked for current values of equality and representation.
Mark Twain (1835-1910)
One of America’s most renowned writers, Mark Twain is described as The Father of America Literature. His work The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of the most beloved children’s books. Although his use of racial slurs has stirred controversy, Classics Reimagined has updated parts of his book and changed it from a book all about boys, to one that girls can now identify with. In a letter to his friend to William Howells about a theatrical version of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Twain wrote, “I have my eye upon two young girls who can play Tom and Huck.”
Jack London (1876-1916)
Jack London was born in San Francisco and worked in the Klondike, where his most famous writings take place. London’s deep care for animals.

William has degrees in Sociology and Broadcast Journalism, has started an urban outreach program at his rowing club, has worked in public policy and has a passion for equity, inclusion and excellence.
